Nature / Documentary Photographer
based in Bayport, New York
Steve began exploring digital photography in 2012 and is also an FAA Part 107 certified UAV (drone) pilot. His drone photography and videography bring a unique perspective and added dimension to his portfolio. In addition to digital work, he shoots film using a variety of vintage 35mm and medium format cameras, lending a distinctive character to his images.
Before pursuing photography full-time, Steve spent nearly four decades as an executive in the financial industry, managing teams across the U.S., U.K., Europe, and Asia—all while based in Long Island and New York City.
Outside of his professional career, Steve has long been dedicated to environmental causes. He has freelanced for organizations such as Save the Sound, The North Shore Land Alliance, and Save the Great South Bay, combining his passion for the outdoors with meaningful advocacy.
He has served on the boards of two nonprofit organizations, including as Treasurer for Friends of Bellport Bay, where he played an active role in oyster restoration efforts. He also served as Secretary for Save the Great South Bay, contributing to the group’s environmental initiatives.
Steve’s nature photography has been featured in publications such as Newsday and various local newspapers. His commitment to conservation is further reflected in his contributions to the national campaign to protect Plum Island from development.
